Brake-formed fascia covers, cut to your fascia depth.
A fascia is the band that runs along the edge of the roof: the trim board the gutters bolt to, the surface the soffit tucks behind. On most Arizona homes that fascia is a 1× or 2× pine board, painted, and within five summers it’s checking, splitting at the nail heads, and pulling the gutter loose every other year. The fix is a metal cover that wraps the existing fascia board without tearing it off: formed on a brake to your exact fascia depth so it sits tight, fastened with concealed cleats so there’s no visible screw line. We fabricate fascia covers to your dimensions on the same brake we use for ridge caps and custom trim, and we chop-and-drop the bundles anywhere in Arizona.
What we cover.
- Eave fascia. The long horizontal run along the gutter line, the most common request. We form a one-piece face with a return at the top that tucks under the drip edge and a hemmed bottom that sits flush against the soffit.
- Rake fascia. The angled fascia along the gable end. Brake-formed to match the roof slope. We fab the matching trim returns at the eave-to-rake corner.
- Porch fascia. Usually a deeper face than the main eave because porch fascias often hide a built-up beam. We form to that depth in one piece.
- Dormer fascia. Small runs, but they need clean miters at the dormer corners. We pre-form the corner trim so the install is square the first time.
- Second-story projection fascia. The band under a cantilevered second floor. Same fab, but we’ll also form the matching under-deck closure flashing to keep the projection dry below.
- One-piece fascia + gutter wrap. On request, we’ll brake-form a single piece that combines a fascia cover and a gutter front in one. No horizontal seam, cleanest possible finish line.
Specs.
- Gauge: 24 ga Galvalume steel for residential and light-commercial fascias. .032 aluminum for projects where the rest of the trim package is aluminum, or where galvanic compatibility rules out steel
- Copper option. For high-end remodels and historic-revival projects, we fabricate fascia covers in 16-oz copper. They patina to a green-bronze in 5-8 years in Arizona’s dry air. If you want them to stay bright, we can spec a clear lacquered copper.
- Coatings (steel): Kynar 500® PVDF (the right pick for any south- or west-facing fascia in Tucson, Phoenix, or Yuma), SMP, and wood-grain printed metal for projects where the fascia is meant to read as stained-wood trim against a stucco or stone wall
- Maximum length: Limited by what we can transport. We routinely fab fascia covers in single 20-ft and 24-ft runs to minimize seams. Longer fascias get clean butt-joints with a backer at each seam.
Pairs with.
- Seamless Gutters. Fascia and gutter usually go in together. We’ll form both to match. Ask about the one-piece fascia + gutter wrap when you place the order. It’s a custom fab but the cleanest possible eave finish.
- Metal Soffit & Under-Decking. The soffit tucks behind the fascia cover. Matching coatings on both makes the eave read as one finish.
- Materials, Colors & Wood-Grain Finishes. Full coating and color palette, including wood-grain print.
Warranty.
- 35-year metal warranty on the fascia covers themselves (substrate and finish. Wood-grain print carries a 30-year fade warranty on the printed pattern. Copper carries the substrate warranty only, patina is not a defect)
- 45-year installation warranty when installed by a US-Metal-Roof-certified installer. DIY and 3rd-party-installer installs are covered by the 35-year metal warranty only.
